We are proud to announce Comztech together with IBM delivered Watson Analytics For Social Media Lab at USIU-Africa. The SIMELab at USIU-Africa is the first multidisciplinary research laboratory to be set up in Africa, to study social media

The U.S Embassy-Kenya funded (20M Kshs) of the project which will run several projects in the coming 3 years.

The SIMElab was opened by US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec, Chancellor Dr. Manu Chandaria and Vice Chancellor Prof. Paul Zeleza .

Dr. Manu Chandaria, Chancellor USIU-Africa told everyone to, “Make all the effort to learn. If you are not in the game you are out of the game. When you are out of the game you will not make decisions”.

Prof Paul Zeleza said, “Social media landscape is with us today and we have to master it”.

Ambassador Robert Godec commented that, “Digital technology offers us boundless power. It also presents huge challenges e.g Fake news. And Social media can connect us in powerful ways”.
